Nowadays, traffic in Jakarta is become an ordinary things for the drivers. Because, there are a lot of vehicle that crossing the street everyday and it increases every year. We know that is not the Jakarta between 1960 to 1980 who is still lonely and the road is huge but Jakarta in 2010 that where the road could not longer be accommodated such as cars, motorbike, bus, and also general vehicle. Do not just waiting until 2015, in some places have started to show the sign of paralysis due to congestion.
There are many ways the provincial of Jakarta in overcoming deadlock on the highway. But in fact, we always find a way that is full when start to come the month of ramadhan such as enforcement in 3 in 1 or Transjakarta but the fact is still been stalled. In my opinion, firstly we have to concentrate in Transjakarta’s road. The ranks of official Jakarta government must surely and firmly if you want it to be free from congestion. There are still a lot of vehicle which comes in the Transjakarta’s road. It has been built for decreasing the congestion but still a lot of vehicle comes to in. Secondly, the ranks of government should increase the capacities of busway vehicle larger than the existing of busway like in Kampung melayu , they are using tandem busway. Thirdly is the most essential. The ranks of government should increase the pay of parking in every parking lots. Usually we charge at 2000 rupiah per hour, maybe they can increase in 10000 rupiah per hour in every parking lots. Then, every driver should think twice to park their vehicle on the parking lots. Hence, this only can be happened when 2 of the above has been implemented. Because the third reason only can be implemented in long terms plan.
So in my opinion, these 3 kind of reason is simply enough to decreasing the congestion in road or we called traffic jam. Because, we don’t want our beloved capital city become paralyze in 2015. So, we have to think from now as soon as possible.
